Kamloops, BC – September 12,2019 – The Canadian Home Builders Association Central Interior held their Annual General Meeting at the Colombo Lodge last night where 2019-2020 Board of Directors were announced.

The following were elected: Mario Piroddi, BDO Canada LLP – Treasurer, Steve DuMont, Gillespie and Company LLP – Secretary, Eric Vanderburgh, Vanderstad Construction – Director, Ron Wrabel, Wrabel Brothers Construction Ltd. – Director.

The electee’s will be joining current members: Kelly Reid, HKR Builders Ltd. – President, Jere Lorenz, Orchards Walk Developments Inc. – 1st Vice President, Tom Calne, Fulcrum Development – 2nd Vice President, Marlene Anderson, Tri-AMM Developments Corp – Honourary Director, Tom Eggers, Chimera Construction Ltd. – Director, Ryan Kurzac, Kamloops Home Hardware – Director, Doug Mears, MDM Contracting – Director, Jason Dixon, City of Kamloops – Appointee, Tim Katsen, Thompson Rivers University – Appointee, Pat Luscombe, TNRD – Appointee, Stefen Reid, Trophy Developments Ltd. – Presidential Appointee, Joe LaFleche, Travelers Canada – Presidential Appointee.

“I am looking forward to working with this esteemed group of individuals over the course of the next year to continue advocating on behalf of our members and providing the necessary training and resources they require to remain leaders within the industry” say Kelly Reid, CHBA CI President.

The evening continued with a Presidential Review of the past year and a celebration of CHBA CI’s 30-year partnership with Thompson Rivers University Trades and Technology and the Training House program where a showcase of each home constructed was revealed, along with a brief video and on-stage interviews from those involved within the creation of and continuance of this one of a kind program. CHBA CI announced in celebration of this 30th partnership, they will be donating $30,000 to go towards TRU Trades & Technology and the local YMCA. Funds will be divided up and then allocated between the two parties to go towards the purchase of needed educational equipment or supporting further program needs.
