2014 Keystone Awards Winner

Last Saturday evening CHBA Central Interior announced 19 winning entries in the 10^th annual Keystone Home Builders Awards of Excellence. The black tie Gala was held at the Thompson Rivers University Grand Hall where everyone gathered to honor the best in their industry.

 Following is the list of categories and the winners:

1. Best Single Family Detached Home: under 1,500 sq ft.- D&T Developments Ltd. for Carradale Court
2. Best Single Family Detached Home: 2,499 Sq. Ft. and under - Malcolm Homes Ltd. for the Benchlands Custom Home
3. Best Kitchen Design Project: under $30,000 - DW Builders, Associate Company - Excel Industries Ltd. for the Stenson Kitchen
4. Best Interior Design: New or Renovated - Kathy Herrington Interior Design for the 1980's Update
5. Best Kitchen Design Project: $30,000 and over - Mark & Tracy Henning, Associate Company - Excel Industries Ltd. for the Henning Residence
6. Best Multi-Family Development - Pache Construction Ltd., Associate Company - Rarebirds Co-operative for the Rarebirds Co-operative
7. Best Public/Private Partnership - Thompson Rivers University for the 2014 Y Dream Home
8. Best Kitchen Renovation: $30,000 and over - DW Builders for the Laporte Kitchen
9. Best Single Family Detached Home: 2,500 Sq. Ft. and over - Malcolm Homes Ltd. for the Mountain Retreat
10. Best Residential Renovation: under $300,000 - DW Builders, Associate Company - Excel Industries for the Sharpe Residence
11. Best Residential Renovation: $300,000 and over - Granite Developments Inc. for Chukar Drive
12. Best Innovative/Special Feature: New or Renovated - River City Rock Products
13. Best Housing Design - Pache Construction Ltd., Associate Company - Blue Green Architecture Inc. for the Rarebirds Co-operative
14. Best Marketing Project: Website - DW Builders, Associate Company - Fresh Inc. Branding Marketing Promotion for the Pacific Ridge Estates
15. Best Customer Service by a CHBA CI Member – Non Builder - City Furniture and Appliances (Kamloops) Ltd.for City Furniture Customer Service
16. FortisBC Award for Building Energy Efficiency - Pache Construction Ltd., Associate Company – Rona Home Centre for the Rarebirds Co-operative
17. Best Customer Service by a CHBA CI Member – Builder - Granite Developments Inc. for their Customer Service
18. Best Sub Trade: Noremac Concrete Pumping
19. Best Supplier: Kamloops Home Hardware Building Centre

CHBA CI President Matt McCurrach said, “The continued passion shown for housing by builders, trades and suppliers in the Kamloops region, has once again delivered some of the best homes in Canada over the past year. Tonight’s awards have showcased these talents yet again.”
