Courses which lead to the Certified Residential Builder (CRB) and the Registered Housing Professional (RHP) are made available regularly in order for our members to upgrade their skills and stay ahead of the competition.

Each evening has a keynote speaker, relevant to the industry. Annual Fun Golf Tournament CHBA Central Interior coordinates a great, fun golf tournament annually for the benefit of its current and future members
Annual Christmas Party CHBA Central Interior coordinates an excellent Christmas party for its members and their employees which includes a dinner and dance the first part of December
Annual Membership Directory Your company and contact information is listed under your category as well as alphabetically. You have the opportunity to take out an ad in the directory as a member for a nominal rate to give your company more exposure. Fourteen hundred directories are distributed annually in key locations throughout the city.
Member Referrals Often the Central Interior Home Builders Office is phoned by a consumer asking for a home builder or member trades person. We are quick to provide contact information for our members as a referral.

Training House/Dream Home Lottery CHBA Central Interior partners with the Thompson River University Trades and Technology Division to have the first year trades pre-apprentice students build a home from start to finish. The home is then sold to the YMCA/YWCA to use as their Dream Home for their lottery fund raiser.
Local suppliers have an opportunity to participate as a sponsor in this high profile project. Sponsors are recognized in various ways according to their sponsorship level.
Canadian Home Builders Association of BC and Canadian Home Builders Association Your membership includes membership in CHBA-BC, the provincial organization that advocates for industry regarding appropriate education, training and the elimination of the underground homebuilders who jeopardize the whole industry. It also includes membership in CHBA, the national body that lobbies the federal government on issues relevant to the homebuilding industry like Insurance. These groups are well respected and influential with elected officials in advocating on behalf of the Home Builder Industry sector.

Keystone Home Builder Awards of Excellence As a member you are eligible to participate in our annual CHBACentral Interior sponsored Builder Awards. The black tie Gala event is held at the Delta Hotel in Sun Peaks. CHBA members are eligible to enter the provincial Georgie Awards as well as the National SAM awards. Special Speaker Series CHBA Central Interior offers its members and the business community an opportunity to hear a national, highly popular Canadian business speaker at two of the dinner meeting (September and/or January) to bring the audience current and relevant information of interest to their businesses. These speakers are chosen from the national CHBA Conference and have been very well received locally. Members received a complimentary seat at these special speaker events. Members of the business community are also invited to attend, space permitting.
